Welcoming the Holyrood voting figures in last week’s Sunday Times Panelbase poll, which put support for the party at exactly the same level as its 2011 landslide victory, SNP Business Convener Derek Mackay said:
“For the SNP to enjoy the same landslide levels of support – more than six years into office – is a fantastic achievement by any standard.
“The SNP continues to move Scotland forward – delivering strong, competent government in the face of Westminster cuts – and the people of Scotland trust the Scottish Government to act in Scotland’s best interests compared to the Westminster government.
“These findings underline the record of delivery of this government and reinforce a previous key finding - that people trust the Scottish Government rather than Westminster to take decisions for Scotland by a margin of nearly four-to-one."
