The Western Isles Council SNP Group welcomes news of the investment in a new ferry for the Tarbert/Lochmaddy/Lochmaddy triangle.
Harris Councillor Philip McLean commented "Mention was made at last weeks Harris Transport Forum meeting of the long term plans for a new vessel on this route so an announcement so soon after is to be greatly welcomed and the Scottish Government, CMAL and CalMac are to be congratulated."
