Letter to the chair of education on impact assessments on budget choices

 Dear Angus, 

Firstly I hope you and your family are keeping well in these challenging times.

I write to you in your capacity as chair of education with regards to the decision made in February relating to the budget and, in particular, items that fall under the education brief.

It was agreed that the following :

P2 - Childcare provision for under 3’s

P11 - Children services respite provision

Are subject to full impact assessments and any necessary consultation before being presented to Comhairle for determination at the April/May 2020 series of meetings.

Can I ask when these assessments will be presented to the Comhairle and can you confirm that these cuts will not be made until the Comhairle has had an opportunity to review the impact these cuts will make on the service users,
