As the lockdown continues, the Comhairle nan Eilean Siar SNP Group would like to pay tribute to the teachers of the Western Isles.
SNP Group leader, Cllr Gordon Murray said " These are challenging times and none more so than for our teachers. We are so blessed with the conscientious teachers we have who are working hard to ensure that their pupils, our children, continue to learn. "
"We want to tell our teachers that we appreciate them, their hard work and their time in continuing to give our children a learning experience in such challenging times."
