Western isles council SNP group leader Gordon Murray has welcomed the events over the last few days which have seen the future of Bi-Fab secured.
Councillor Murray was happy to see the Scottish Government's intervention being timely and comprehensive in saving the workers at Arnish.
Councillor Murray stated: "I am pleased that jobs at Arnish have been saved and welcome the comments from Bi-Fab that they see a longer term future existing for the business. I hope that given the level of public support Bi-Fab will reintroduce an apprenticeship scheme at the yard at Arnish thus growing a sustainable workforce complementing the company's sustainable future."
