Councillor Kenny Macleod was chosen to chair the committee at last week's series of council committees.
Commenting on the appointment, group leader councillor Gordon Murray stated : "we are delighted that Kenny has been chosen to lead that particular committee. Given the SNP group's campaigns for the Living Wage, protecting the trade union representation and fighting for frontline staff and services, I am pleased that these have been recognised by Kenny's appointment to the Local Government Employees committee. His experience working closely with the group on these issues will stand him in good stead."
