The news that the Scottish Government is to increase funding to the Scottish Crofting Commission was welcome by members of the the Comhairle's crofting committee this week.
Councillor John A Maciver said : " Great to see the Scottish Government acknowledging the importance of Crofting to the Rural Economy and especially pleased to see the 100% commitment to the Less Favoured Area support continuing through 2018!"
