Carloway hosted an Independence referendum last week which gave the Yes Campaign and the No Campaign a chance to debate with a vote at the end.
In the Yes corner, Dr Alasdair Allan MSP and Gordon Maclennan local businessman took on Brian Wilson, ex-MP and former Energy Minister in the New Labour administration in Westminster and Alasdair Morrison,. former MSP for the Western Isles.
The final results were:
YES ; 56%
NO : 37%
Don't Know 7%
A great result for the YES Campaign considering the opposition in the form of WHFP svengali Brian Wilson and real proof that the positive case for self-determination is winning throughout the islands as well as the nation.
